Palawena Classical singer Jade Riccio releases “Paano ang pasko” in time for Christmas

Palawan’s very own classical singer dubbed as Asia’s Jewel, Jade Riccio, announces the release of her very own composed song intended for Christmas season, the single “Paano Ang Pasko” is her second composition and is a product of pandemic situation we are all in.

The single talk’s about missing your home during the most wonderful time of the year, the music video will be soon uploaded via Riccio’s social media account and available now at music streaming app Spotify.

“First time not able to go home for Christmas honestly, that’s why I compose this songs kasi I just really felt I had to share this emotion of mine, kasi that’s the problem why I don’t compose too much, this is actually just my second composition, my first one an original Filipino music as well “Ikaw at ako”, it’s a love song and this one is a Christmas songs,” Riccio shared during a live guesting over Palawan Daily’s Story Café.

Riccio a former student from Palawan Hope Christian School, is a graduate of University of Sto. Tomas Conservatory School of Music. She already established her name as opera artist in different Filipino musical including “Noli Me Tangere” shown at the Cultural Center of the Philippines. She was one of the aspiring contestant in “Pilipinas Got Talent” way back 2016, a reality talent search at ABS-CBN and was able to sign a recording deal with Star Music that release songs like “Bring Me To Life” and “Anak”.

For her latest song, she produced and recorded it over in her special set up studio in her house in Manila, that she just assembled during lockdown period, she was able to produce some covers and another original composition to be released by January of 2021, a collaboration with a known artist in the country that she will reveal soon.

“Actually I’m crying while writing it kasi honestly it’s my first time not being able to go home to Palawan and see my family, my friends, it’s frustrating but we have different ways to communicate, we have our phones, we have our zooms,  thanks God for the technology,” Riccio added.

Aside from singing classical songs and now crossing to mainstream, Riccio also teach voice lessons for upcoming singers to which some are from Palawan. She just finish doing a tape guesting for TV5 Sunday Noontime Live Christmas special to be aired on Dec 20.
