TAYTAY, PALAWAN — The Municipality of Taytay successfully concluded its highly celebrated Pasinggatan Festival 2026 on May 5, marking another milestone in the town’s Founding Anniversary celebration.

This year’s edition made history as one of the largest and most attended municipal festivals in Palawan, drawing an estimated crowd of more than 22,000 attendees from different parts of the province and beyond.

From breathtaking stage productions and vibrant cultural showcases to star-studded performances and community-centered activities, Pasinggatan Festival 2026 elevated the standards of local festivals in the region.

One of the festival’s most anticipated features was the participation of the 7 clusters composed of different barangays, which competed in various festival games and activities that showcased unity, teamwork, and local pride.

Under the leadership of newly elected Municipal Mayor Hon. Norbert Lim, Taytay once again reclaimed its identity as the true “Star of the North,” bringing renewed energy, pride, and tourism momentum to the municipality.

The festival also attracted thousands during its major concert nights featuring some of the country’s well-known performers including Gloc-9, Michael Pangilinan, Siakol, and internet personality and host Joy “JUSA” Barcoma.

Beyond entertainment, the festival significantly boosted Taytay’s local economy. The influx of visitors generated opportunities and income for hundreds of local businesses including:

accommodation providers
restaurants and eateries
vendors and MSMEs
transport operators and drivers
fuel stations
local designers and creatives
production and technical workers
food concessionaires and many other community-based enterprises.

The success of the event was also made possible through the collaboration of the Local Government Unit of Taytay and JK Digitals PH – JK Events and Advertising, which co-organized and managed the large-scale production of the festival.
