Yamang Bukid Farm Opens Restaurant in Narra

Undeniably it’s a booming business for Yamang Bukid Farm this 2020 as the business continue to grow and expand its brand as they open their first restaurant in southern Palawan, the first Yamang Bukid Farm Restaurant in the town of Narra opened last Dec 28.

The 400 seating capacity restaurant in the highway of Brgy. Malinao is the latest attraction of the rice granary capital of the province, with a fishpond and farm of flowers and vegetables carry the brand signature dishes from the farm in Puerto Princesa, in line with the concept of farm to table advocating farmers as the hero of our food security.

The newly opened restau can only accommodate 300 guests under new normal, it will be a great stop over for those travelling going to Narra, Bataraza, Brookes Point, Quezon, Rizal and even Balabac that normally pass the area.

Yamang Bukid Farm Vice President for Community Relations George Maria said they target the restaurant to operate 24-7, in order to cater to travelling motorist who want to indulge in their different menu of meat and vegetable offering, they also offer Jalal foods for Muslim brothers.

“Yamang Bukid Narra is simply a combination of the reflection of Yamang Bukid Farm natin in Puerto Princesa, so wherein we have the farm, we have farmers working but the produce that we generate from the area we serve it, it’s a farm to table, and also with the touch of Balai Bukid at ng iba nating mga restaurant in the City na sa murang halaga na P199 o P209 eat all you can buffet, so it will be very affordable to the people,” Maria said.

According to Maria, the innovations and design of the resto is still evolving as of now, they assure that it will be a instagramable spot and best to visit even at nights with their fabulous lighting fixtures, the area is also a good location to view sunset.

But it’s their advocacy that push them to open the resto in Narra, the employment they generate for the locals and help for local farmers is the main goal they want to achieve, included in their plan is to introduce integrated farming since Narra is known for its agricultural image as rice producing capital of Palawan.

“Before the pandemic we only have 286 farmers working, 90% of these were illegal loggers, sa panahon ng pandemic pag susuko tayo talo po tayo, together we work hard now our number in Palawan continue to grow, we are now 800 in Palawan, more than 500 new job opportunities and this is to inspire people na sa agrikultura meron talagang pag asa,” Maria added.
