The Town of Bataraza launched its first ever Pinya Festival at SM Puerto Princesa on July 12, 2019, which aims to promote the municipality’s products and tourism.
Municipal Administrator Valintino Palasigue says with the support of the Mayor Abraham Ibba, they will do their best to promote their main product and push this not only in the province of Palawan but to the whole nation.
“Gawin natin lahat ng magagawa natin to promote our pinya product to the entire province of Palawan or maybe the entire nation of the Philippines,” Palasigue said.
Palasigue added their products and materials already reach some areas in the Philippines.
“Base po sa mga nakita namin situation ang pinya materials po namin nakarating na sa parteng Batangas somewhere in Laguna or even in Mindanao,” He added.
The event also exhibits the photos of its top farmers and products made from pineapple like the pineapple jam, pineapple pie and a dress made entirely from pineapple fiber.
This will follow the celebration of the festival on July 15 and will last until July 18, 2019 at the Municipality of Bataraza.
