CBFM-MPMPC in Taytay, provides pure honey to frontliners for free

The Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO)-Taytay lauds a Community-Based Forest Management (CBFM) multipurpose cooperative in their locality for providing pure honey to their frontliners.

In a post of CENRO-Taytay yesterday, they said that the Malampaya-Pancol Multipurpose Cooperative (MPMPC), located at Bgy. Pancol in Taytay, has donated several boxes that contain bottles of honey for their frontliners, such as the uniformed men manning their checkpoint areas.

They also quoted a line from the CBFM that says “A taste of pure love and pure care to our untiring ang dedicated frontliners from the heart of our loving forest” and they thanked CBFM-MPMPC Chairman, Josephine dela Cruz.

CENRO-Taytay likewise said that the Community-Based Forest Management Agreement is a production sharing agreement between the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and the participating people’s organization (PO) for the span of 25 years. In DENR Administrative Order No. 96-29, it says that the CBFM awardee is given incentives to develop, utilize and manage specific portions of forest lands.

“One of the benefits of CBFM is the harvesting of honey and other non-timber products,” CENRO-Taytay added. The CENRO-Taytay also covers the protection of the Municipality of El Nido, a neighboring town of the Municipality of Taytay in the northernpart of the Province of Palawan.
