Narra, Palawan – The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Palawan 2nd District Engineering Office has successfully completed the construction of the Panacan Seawall in Barangay Panacan.
This significant infrastructure project, headed by District Engineer Noel L. Fuentebella, is a game-changer for the local community.
The newly constructed Panacan Seawall now stands tall, providing a much-needed shield against erosion and high tides, offering a renewed sense of safety and security to the residents living along the seaside in Barangay Panacan. It can effectively safeguard homes and properties from the unpredictable forces of nature.
The enhanced coastal infrastructure is also expected to attract tourists and visitors, boosting the local economy and creating new livelihood opportunities for the locals.
The stamped concrete pathways along the seawall can become the go-to spot for recreational activities, including evening strolls, jogging, or simply savoring the views of the coastline.
According to DPWH Mimaropa, the completion of this project is under the commitment of the DPWH Palawan 2nd DEO to “Build Better MIMAROPA” and contribute to the development of a “Bagong Pilipinas.”
