The Philippine Air Force Tactical Operations Wing encourages all qualified Filipino citizens to join the Philippine Air Force and the PAF Reserve Force.

“We are inviting, especially our youth, na maging part ng Air Force Family. They can contribute sa ating bansa in many ways, [in] being a pilot, being an enlisted personnel [and in] being an officer,” said Brigade General Rene S. Diaz, Wing Commander of TOW-West/JTF-ICARE, during the Opening Ceremony of the PAF Mall Exhibit 2019 at the Activity Area of Robinsons Place Palawan.

“Any qualified Filipino Citizen ang aming [target]. Meron kaming hinahanap na mga qualification. Sa piloto, basta college graduate,” he added.

BGEN Diaz further said, “Ipakita lang ‘yung professionalism, tapos yung service sa tao. It’s an opportunity for them to make a difference.”

He also added, “Hindi naman lugi in terms of compensation. Mataas na ‘yung sweldo ng AFP so that’s one way of curving ‘yung corruption, diba, wala ka nang iisipin. Manghihinayang ka sa sweldo.”

As part of their pre-anniversary activities in celebration of their 72nd Founding Anniversary on July 3, PAF conducted a 3-day Mall Exhibit to showcase their capabilities and equipment.

BGEN Diaz explained, “Gusto lang namin ipakita sa mga tao ang aming capabilities, ano yung mga nangyayari sa Air Force, kung ano ‘yung pwede namin gawin and what they expect from the Air Force. Dati diba ‘yung Air Force puro Air lang, walang Force. So ngayon, hindi na.”

The exhibitors came from the different units of PAF: the 505th Search and Rescue Group, 710th Special Operations Wing, Personnel Management Center, Air Force Strategic Management Office, Air Force Reserve Command, Communication, Electronics and Information System Group and Air Force Public Affairs Office which will also showcase their mission and capabilities together with their weapons and equipment all throughout the event.

They will also be playing several video presentations highlighting the different missions and accomplishments of the Philippine Air Force.

The PAF Air Sentinels Tow West Combo will also be having a performance every afternoon from 5 to 7pm to showcase their talents. The activity will run until Wednesday, May 29, 2019.
