Bulside: It’s the party that goes to you

A unique bar—-the first of its kind in Palawan—-is making waves in the city. Bulside VIP Mobile Bar sets a new trend as it goes to where the party is instead of the partyphiles trooping to it to party.

Jeff Bulan and partner Charlene Gem Salcedo

Conceptualized, owned and managed by Jeffrey Bulan, an OFW working as designer in Dubai’s pioneer and well-known exhibition and interior company, Bulside is somehow edgy an idea as he believes in the philosophy, “Do not be a classic, be the trend.”

So when one wants to celebrate his birthday in a disco bar, he can opt to stay at home and Bulside goes to their place and transforms it into one awesome party club complete with drinks, food, music, band, and waiters.

Jeff and Gem are recently engaged and are getting married soon.

But not only theirs is a unique concept but they also think of their clients’ budget and desires. Jeffrey says they are willing to adjust to their clients’ needs and budget.

“First, of course you do not want to throw a party where everyone would define it as boring.”

Their business philosophy focuses on treating their customers as their family. “We do not treat our market as customers, we treat them as family. We love to offer thrill and happiness to every soul who needs it.”

It is mobile but it is stationed at the Obos Food Park, and they also have their famous Bar and Grill serving affordable and quality food and drinks, where they one enjoy the live band and other exciting activities.

With the aim of humanitarian help to the children in Puerto Princesa City, at one time, they launched a project where in every beer consumed, P3.00 was allotted and saved for feeding program of the street children.

“We did it through the help of every drinker and with the help of JCI Oil Palawan,” Jeffrey added.

Owning a business at age 24 is hard as it takes a lot of risks.

“Take risk! Either you win in the field you entered or you go home carrying the experiences and the lessons,” Jefferson said.

The bar industry is a tough one and most already gave up soon after they opened.

“But for us, it is our goal to be on the top of the line,” he said, adding “this is why, we are joining every related event that we can enter in the city such as the Midsummer Night Palawan(the biggest EDM Party in the City, so far), Wedding Expo 2018, and the Baragatan, which for us is to market our products and services to the people of Palawan.”

“One thing that we are thankful of, is that we are still in the scene. Thanks to our loyal customers and the new ones who are yet to try and visit us there at Obos.”
