150 Ipil seedlings planted in Magsaysay, Palawan

A total of 150 Ipil seedlings have been planted in an activity held in  Magsaysay Water System in Maringgit-ringit, Little Baguio, Barangay Igabas, Magsaysay, Palawan.

The tree-planting activity was led by the Palawan Water Office through the Provincial Economic Enterprise Development Office (PEEDO) of the  Palawan Provincial Government last Saturday, March 18.

 

The activity is a part of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the Palawan Water Office and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources- Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (DENR-PENRO) in compliance with the Environmental Compliance Certificate of the Magsaysay Water System under the Environmental Conservation Enhancement Program of Presidential Decree 1596.

 

The activity emphasizes the importance of environmental preservation is paramount in preserving the lives of the local people.

 

Participating agencies included the DENR-CENRO, Magsaysay Water System Team and LGU Magsaysay.
