Barangay mandaragat wins again in zumbaraw 2024

Barangay Mandaragat has once again proven their talent in Zumba at the Zumbaraw Dance Competition, winning for the fourth time on November 10, 2024, at the Edward S. Hagedorn Coliseum as part of the Subaraw Biodiversity Festival 2024.

The group, consisting of 72 members of both men and women, captivated the judges and audience with their powerful moves and dance skills, earning a score of 94.92 percent and a prize of ₱75,000.00.

Following in second place was Poblacion District I from Brooke’s Point with 93.42 points, winning ₱50,000.00, while Ipilan Nickel Corporation secured third place with a prize of ₱35,000.00.

The ten contestants also included the PNS – SPS – Zumba Dance Group from Palawan National School, Barangay Bancao-Bancao BBM, Barangay Cabayugan, Barangay San Jose, Barangay Masipag from Puerto Princesa City, Sandovalian Dancers from Narra municipality, and the Pinyanayon Culture and Arts Organization from Bataraza.

Meanwhile, non-winning participants were awarded consolation prizes of ₱15,000.00 each.
Mayor Lucilo R. Bayron personally presented the prizes along with City Councilors Judith “Raine” Bayron and Karl Dylan Aquino, and former Congressman Abraham Khalil Mitra.
