Governor Dennis M. Socrates uplifted the spirits of newly appointed and promoted employees of Cuyo District Hospital (CDH) and Southern Palawan Provincial Hospital (SPPH) in a heartfelt message during the Oath Taking Ceremony held yesterday, August 17. The event was also graced by Vice Governor Leoncio N. Ola.
“First and foremost, I’d like to congratulate you for your new promotion or new appointment which I’d like to emphasize: You deserve it! This is not owed to any political favor,” Socrates began.
He emphasized that the selection process for new appointees was based on qualifications defined by the law and approved by the Personnel Selection Board (PSB), dispelling any notion of favoritism.
The governor also highlighted the accompanying responsibilities of the positions for the newly appointed and promoted employees. He expressed hope that their roles would contribute to personal growth and societal well-being.
“The government is an institution, and we are all important in its operation, regardless of its successes or failures. We are all part of it,” the governor said in Filipino.
Meanwhile, four individuals were appointed to positions at Southern Palawan Provincial Hospital (SPPH), while seven new appointees and one promoted employee joined the ranks of Cuyo District Hospital (CDH).
The Provincial Human Resource Management Office (PHRMO) oversaw the Oath Taking Ceremony, during which PHRMO Officer-In-Charge Rolando B. Buñi shared the theme of this year’s Civil Service Commission (CSC) Month: “Transforming Public Service in the Next Decade: Honing Agile and Future-Ready Servant-Heroes.”
