Governor Socrates commends provincial departments for excellent public services in consultative meeting

In a consultative meeting held on July 3 at the Governor’s Conference Room, Palawan Governor V Dennis Socrates expressed his heartfelt appreciation and commended the outstanding efforts of the provincial departments in delivering excellent and complete services to the public.
“Government should be an institution and as a local chief executive, our performance as an LGU really depends on the department heads, program managers, technical people, and people with necessary competence,” said Socrates.
The consultative meeting, attended by key officials and department heads, aimed to discuss the progress and challenges faced by various departments and to evaluate the overall performance of the provincial government in serving the public. During the meeting, Socrates took the opportunity to acknowledge the exceptional dedication and hard work exhibited by the provincial departments.
Socrates emphasized the importance of providing efficient and comprehensive services to the people of Palawan. He highlighted the significance of the collaborative efforts made by each department in ensuring that the public’s needs are met effectively and promptly.
The consultative meeting also paved the way for Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer Jerry Alili to discuss programs and ongoing projects of their agency such as
Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Caravan, Rescue Olympics, static display, table top exercises, Junior Rescue Jamboree, Provincial DRRM Summit at clean-up drive in line with the celebration of the National Disaster Resilience Month this July.
Meanwhile, Office of the Governor Chief-of-Staff Ceasar Sammy Magbanua, on the other hand, highlighted the preparation being made by the Provincial Government for the upcoming celebration of Palawan’s 400 years of Christianity this August.
He also expressed his gratitude to all the department heads, employees, and officials for their unwavering dedication andd their collaborative efforts madefor the success of the Baragatan Festival 2023, the Synchronized Pista ng Kalikasan, and the Provincial Development Council 1st semester full council meeting which were all held recently.
The exchange of ideas and experiences among the participants further strengthened their collective determination to continue delivering top-notch services to the public, and renewed their determination in serving the people of Palawan with excellence and efficiency.
