As part of his mission to instill discipline and be fair to all townsfolk, Mayor Gerandy Danao, in an exclusive interview on Tuesday, said that he has placed members of Bantay Narra, formerly known as “Task Force Narra”, under probation.

Kasi noon pa, marami ng reklamo,” he said.

The probation came in wake of numerous hate posts and comments on social media regarding the poor performance of the task force. Mayayabang mga yan,” Chryll Chustine, a netizen said in her post.

“Make a new Task Force team. The reliable one, the respectful one and most of all duty-responsible one… Duty not just on time, but with diligence,” Leah Bucsit, another netizen stated.

Danao said that he is particularly aware of this and is conducting an investigation himself concerning the problem.

The probation put at stake the jobs of all the members of the Bantay Bata, with the mayor stating that they were in fact at a threat of being terminated from service if circumstances come to worse.

May isang buwan pa sila para mag-perform. Saka natin malalaman kung magtatanggalan,” Danao said.
