PMRB empowers team leaders with comprehensive training on mining regulations

The Provincial Mining Regulatory Board (PMRB) of Palawan, in collaboration with the Mining and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) MIMAROPA, has initiated an essential training program titled “Training for Team Leaders.”
This enlightening session is currently underway as of September 14, at De Reos, Barangay San Pedro, Puerto Princesa City.
The event commenced with words of encouragement and guidance from Provincial Administrator Atty. Jethro M. Palayon, serving as the representative of Governor V. Dennis M. Socrates, and Dr. Estela Divinagracia, Representative of Small Scale Mining.
The primary objective behind this training, steered by Mining and Quarry Regulatory Program (MQRP) Director Rowel M. Magarce, is to equip team leaders with a profound understanding of the existing mining and quarrying regulations. The training extensively covers aspects like implementation, apprehension, inspection, and site visits.
Participants are engaging in insightful discussions encompassing a range of topics, such as Permits in the Extraction, Removal, Disposition, and Utilization of Sand and Gravel and Quarry Materials, Recommended Guidelines for Quarrying in River Systems, RA 7942 & DAO 2010-21, RA 7076 & DAO 2022-03, MGB MC No. 20-010, and RMOs 2020-07, 2021-01, 2021-05, 2022-03.
Esteemed resource speakers contributing their expertise include Ms. Cassandra Lynda Jalao, Mr. Francis Jade Cometa, Bren Carolino, alongside PMRB Secretariat Gillian M. Atienza, PMRB Board Member Inocencio C. Magallanes, and Atty. Vicent Escala from the Provincial Legal Office (PLO).
