With the goal of mitigating the lack of clean water supply in these Rizal, the Provincial Government and the Palawan Water Office under the Provincial Economic Enterprise Development Office (PEEDO), inaugurated three Solar Powered Water System Projects in Barangay Latud, Barangay Canipaan, and Barangay Taburi within the municipality of Rizal on November 17.
These projects seek to deliver secure and purified drinking water to the residents.
The solar-powered water projects supplement the current eight water supply initiatives in Rizal, encompassing Magtayob, Panalingaan, Latud, Taburi, Canipaan, Candawaga, Campong-Ulay, and Punta Baja.
These efforts contribute to the overarching objective of securing access to clean water for Palaweños, with a combined total of 87 operational water system projects throughout the province.
Board Members Marivic H. Roxas, Ryan D. Maminta, and Ariston D. Arzaga, along with Mayor Norman S. Ong, Vice Mayor Ma. Grace M. Zapanta, and PEEDO OIC Engr. John Gil Ynzon, graced the inauguration ceremony.
Also present were Barangay Chiefs Ricky Bacalso of Latud, Julhan M. Abdujarik of Canipaan, and Jamael Cabugatan of Taburi.
