CDRRMC: State of Calamity ng lungsod ng Puerto Princesa, wala pang planong alisin

Wala pang plano ang City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council na irekomenda na alisin sa State of Calamity ang lungsod ng Puerto Princesa.

Ayon kay CDDRM Officer Earl Timbancaya kahapon, hindi pa kasi lubusang nasusulusyunan ang water crisis sa syudad kaya hindi pa nila irerekomenda sa konseho na bawiin na ang deklarasyon.

Sinabi rin ni Timbacaya na isang taon naman ang validity ng pagsasailalim sa state of calamity kaya wala namang magiging problema.

Samantala, pinatotohanan rin nito na hindi nga naglabas ng pondo ang city government mula sa 5 percent na calamity fund dahil ang ginagamit umano ng mga opisina tulad ng city agriculture sa pagresolba sa krisis sa kanilang sektor ay ang sarili muna nitong pondo pero kung mauubos na ito ay maaari naman umanong gumamit ng pondo mula sa calamity fund.

Matatandaang nagdeklara ang city council noon na maipasailalim sa state of calamity ang syudad batay na rin sa hiling ng Puerto Princesa City Water District dahil sa kakapusan sa tubig.
