Millennial Global traveling site Big 7 Travel ranked Palawan as number 2 in the 50 Hottest Travel Destinations for 2020, with Budapest in Hungary as the number 1 in the list. The site created the list based on the previous articles they posted, comments from travelers, and hashtags used on Instagram and some statistical data on many bookings as well as travel trends.

Big 7 described Palawan as a great spot to start a travel adventure. It’s the only province or city in the Philippines that made their list and was posted before 2019 ended.

According to the website, “Palawan made our list of the world’s best islands for a reason. It feels untouched, with white sandy beaches and tropical jungle. El Nido is a cluster of 45 islands just off the tip of Palawan that you can explore, too. It’s famous for the Secret Lagoon. Swim through a hole in the limestone rocks to enter a hidden bay with crystal clear water and soft sand.”

On the said site, Palawan also was listed as Rank 36 in the 50 most Instagrammable places in the world based on their comprehensive scoring system, analyzed through the use of hashtags, survey results and votes cast by their global editorial team. Sydney, Australia came out on top of the list.
