Two boxes of dynamited “dalagang bukid” that were abandoned in the Green Island, Roxas, Palawan were discovered by the Fisheries Protection Law Enforcement Group Southern Palawan.

This after a concerned citizen called FPLEG reporting the selling of the alleged dynamited fish in the island last July 10, 2019 at around two o’clock in the afternoon.

According to its report, FPLEG team responded and verified the call. Upon arrival at the island, it confirmed seeing the two boxes, but they could not be able to identify the owner.

Fisheries Protection Law Enforcement Officer Jose Puyawan, FPLEG’s fish examiner, immediately conducted an on-the-spot scientific fish examination and confirmed the sample positively caught by the means of explosives.

Since the owner abandoned the more or less 300 kilos of fishes caught, the team conducted an investigation, but none of the witnesses in the area cooperated with them to catch the subject, the team turned-over the said fishes to LGU for proper distribution.
