1.5M doses of Sinovac will be distributed to the provinces

An additional 1.5 million doses of Sinovac COVID-19 jabs procured by the National Government have arrived on Friday, September 10, via Philippine Airlines at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), according to National Task Force (NTF) against COVID-19.

NTF special adviser Dr Ted Herbosa said that two more shipments of COVID-19 vaccines are expected to arrive in the country.

He added that including the new shipment of Sinovac yesterday, the country has received a total of 54.5 million COVID-19 vaccines since February 2021.

In relation to this, the country has received 502,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine procured by the private sector and Local Government Units (LGUs) last Friday.

The above-mentioned doses of Sinovac are scheduled to be distributed to the provinces on Monday, September 13, 2021.
