Authorities successfully dismantled a drug den and arrested three individuals during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Payompon, Mamburao, on February 8, 2025.
The joint operation was carried out by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Romblon Provincial Office, PDEA Occidental Mindoro Provincial Office, the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) of Occidental Mindoro, and the Mamburao Municipal Police Station – MDEU.
The suspects, identified by their aliases as Tangol (30), Bubbles (24), and Raymond (40), are all residents of the area.
Authorities seized three transparent plastic sachets containing approximately 5.2 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of ₱35,360.
The arrested individuals are set to face charges for violations of Article II of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
