A young woman from Palawan State University (PalSU) has etched her name into the national roster of academic excellence after securing a place among the topnotchers of the March 2025 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT) – Elementary Level.
Sherilyn Villacuatro Cordova, a graduate of a local campus of Southern University (SU), ranked fifth in the country with an impressive rating of 93.60 percent, based on the official results released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) this week.
Cordova’s achievement places her among the highest scorers in a licensure exam that drew tens of thousands of aspiring educators from across the Philippines.
She joins a growing list of Palawan-born professionals who are proving that excellence can flourish even in the country’s most geographically isolated regions.
