CIO Ligad: Hindi pinag-iinitan ang mga business establishment sa mas mahigpit na health protocol

Wala umanong layunin na pahirapan o pag initanan ang mga negosyo sa lungsod na tatamaan ng mas mahigpit na pagpapatupad ng health protocols sa lungsod ng Puerto Princesa, ayon pagbibigay linaw ni City Information Officer Richard Ligad.

“Yung ibang business establishment nagsasabi na bakit ganun? Napag iinitan ba kami, hindi po noh, iniiwasan natin itong pagkalat ng local transmission na sa tingin natin isa ito sa nakita ng ating mga authorities na pweding makatulong,” ani Ligad.

Kaugnay ito sa mga inilabas na mga executive order ni Mayor Lucilo Bayron, partikular na ang Executive No. 2020-46, series of 2020 kung saan inaatasan ang mga establisyeminto sa lungsod na i-adjust ang kanilang working hours para maagang makauwi ang kanilang mga empleyado, dahil sa ipinapatupad na mas maagang curfew hours na magsisimula 10 PM hanggang 5 AM simula kagabi, October 6, 2020 at magtatapos sa October 20, 2020.

Habang sa Executive No. 2020-47, series of 2020 ay pansamantalang pagbabawal sa pag-inom ng alak sa mga pampublikong lugar tulad ng resto bars, restaurants, karaoke bars at mga kahalintulad na establisyimento. Subalit pinapayagan naman ang pagbebenta at pagbili ng alak pero dapat sa loob lamang ng tahanan iinumin.

Paliwanag pa ni Ligad, kailangan seryosohin ng mga mamamayan ang pag iingat at wag muna uminom ng alak sa mga pampublikong lugar na posibleng makuha ang virus, dahil kung mas dumami pa aniya ang local transmission o mga mahahawaan ng virus sa lungsod ay tiyak na mahihirapan ang lahat.

“Although ngayon nag-iikot kami, nagtitingin pero sana ho mag mula sa ating sarili, seryosohin natin ito. ‘Di muna tayo iinum sa mga painuman hangga’t gumugulong pa itong contact tracing natin, kasi po sa mga painuman maaari dyan nyo makuha. So kung hindi po natin maiiwasan at palaging hihintayin na sawayin tayo ng ating gobyerno eh delikado ho talaga tayo. Maaaring lumubo po tayo. Ang kaligtasan ay wag muna natin iasa sa gobyerno, importante mag ambag tayo ng mas malaking disiplina sa ating mga sarili dahil kapag ito kumalat pa ng mas marami ay mas mahihirapan po tayo,” dagdag pahayag ni Ligad.

Samantala habang sinusulat ang balitang ito, base sa huling update ng City Information Office, 110 na ang total COVID-19 confirmed cases, 24 ang active, 85 ang recovered at 1 ang death.
