Hindi sumang-ayon ang pamunuan ng City Government of Puerto Princesa sa panukala ng mga miyembro ng Sangguniang Panlalawigan na pansamantalang ipagamit ang terminal sa Barangay San Jose bilang pangunahing sakayan ng mga byahero pa Norte.

Ayon kay Board Member Arzaga, hindi umano sinang-ayunan ng City Government ang naturang kahilingan dahil sa may iilan na umanong mga establisyemento at government buildings ang kasalukuyang itinatayo rito.

“Yung proposal natin ay kung pupwede yung biyaheng norte ilagay na lang muna sa San Jose, mukhang non-negotiable yun kasi yung area na yun dinidevelop na at mayroong mga government buildings na itatayo,” ani BM Arzaga.

 

Dahil dito ay agarang nagpanukala ng panibagong kahilingan ang mga miyembro ng Sangguniang Panlalawigan na kung maaari ay payagan umano na gamitin na lamang bilang drop off points ng mga pasaherong magmumula sa norte ang intersection sa Barangay Sta. Lourdes sa may area ng banga gayundin ang papasok sa looban ng naturang barangay.

 

“So, naghanap tayo ng alternative solution, ang nakikita natin doon ay ang pagkakaroon ng mga drop off points kung saan sila puwede ibaba. Ang sabi naman ni mayor, idagdag na lang yun sa proposal. Ang maganda dito, nagpo-progress tayo, kasi ako personally ang proposal ko ay yung banga diyan sa Sta. Lourdes may malaking space diyan. Instead na yung mga bus didiretso ng Irawan, i-allow na lang sila na mag drop diyan ng mga pasahero,” ani BM Arzaga.

 

Bunsod ang pagpupulong dahil sa apela ng mga kababayang byahero ukol sa layo at mahal ng pamasahe papuntang Irawan terminal mula sa poblacion area ng lungsod.

 

Samantala, sakaling maisapinal ang panibagong kahilingan ay posibleng magkaroon ng kasunod na pagpupulong upang muling talakayin ang naturang usapin.
