City Councilor Elgin Robert Damasco considered the filing of a resolution at the City Council declaring a Chinese national persona non grata for slapping and punching a traffic enforcer in Bonoan Road here in Puerto Princesa City.
The victim was identified as Regie Paredes Falcon, a city government employee, assigned at the City Traffic and Management Office. Falcon during the weekend, was issuing violation ticket to illegally parked vehicles in Bonoan Road when the angry Chinese hit his face.
Councilor Damasco, who is the chairman of the Committee on Transportation, said that the CTMO enforcer was just implementing traffic rules to ensure the smooth flow of traffic but the Chinese national displayed disrespect, rudeness and arrogance.
The Chinese was identified as Yang Gou Zhi who owns a cellphone accessories shop in Bonoanan Road and whose vehicle was then illegally parked.
“Ngitngit pas alkitran. Dapat talagang bigyan ito ng leksyon dahil sinuntok ng isang Chinese national na bastos, walang modo, ang isang traffic enforcer na nagpapatupad lang ng batas,” Damasco said.
Falcon said that he asked Yang Gho Zhi to transfer his vehicle but the Chinese got angry. He then punched and slapped the traffic enforcer.
