General Appropriations Ordinance ng Puerto Princesa, inaprubahan na

Nilagdaan na ni Mayor Lucilo R. Bayron noong Nobyembre 16, 2020 ang General Appropriations Ordinance No. 1-2020 ng Pamahalaang Panlungsod ng Puerto Princesa na P3,723,641,460.70 na pondo para sa susunod na taon.

Sa post ng City Information office (CIO) noong Nobyembre 17, nakasaad na bagama’t mas mababa ng 1.65 porsiyento ang 2021 budget kaysa sa ngayong taon ay tiniyak ng alkalde na matutugunan pa rin ang mga proyekto para sa pampublikong kalusugan at ang pagpapanatili ng tuloy-tuloy na takbo ng ekonomiya.

Siniguro rin ng Punong Lungsod na prayoridad sa badget ang mga programa at proyektong may kinalaman sa COVID-19 at ang pagbabago tungo sa “new normal” dulot ng pandemya.

Base pa sa nakapaskil na impormasyon sa Facebook page ng CIO, may inilaan na P1.113 milyon sa General Services Sectors, P1.108 milyon sa Social Services, P1.306 milyon sa economic services, P36 milyon sa economic enterprise, at P157 milyon sa other services tulad ng pagbabayad sa mga utang.

Nagmula naman ang 86 porsiyento ng nasabing pondo mula sa Internal Revenue Allocation (IRA) habang ang 14 porsiyento ay mula sa local revenue.

Samantala, ang paglalagda ni Mayor Bayron sa pondo ng siyudad ay sinaksihan nina City Administrator Arnel M. Pedrosa, City Budget Officer Maria Regina S. Cantillo, Bise Mayor Maria Nancy Socrates, at ilang mga kagawad na sina Victor Oliveros, Roy Ventura, Matthew Mendoza, Nesario Awat, Jimmy Carbonell, Henry Gadiano, Elgin Damasco, Francisco Gabuco at Herbert Dilig.
