Former Interior and Local Government (DILG) City Director Rey Maranan is now the new DILG provincial director, while new city DILG officer will replace him, as announced during in the inaugural session of the 16th Sangguniang Panlungsod on Monday, July 1.
“I would like to express the DILG City and Provincial Office felicitations to the present set ng ating bumubuo ng Sangguniang Panlunsod headed by our Vice Mayor. I would like to express my thanks sa support and goodwill that the Sangguniang Panlungsod extended to the City DILG office under my helm. Per Department Order signed by the secretary, I am now formally assuming as the Provincial Director of DILG Palawan and with me now is the City Director of Puerto Princesa in the person of Mr. Virgilio L. Tagle,” Maranan announced.
“Effective today, I am assuming as the OIC City Director of the DILG Puerto Princesa City,” Tagle said.
He also congratulated the new set of City Councilors and stated that he hopes to visit them one-by-one in the days to come.
Vice Mayor Nancy Socrates thanked Maranan for the services he had rendered to the city and to her during the incidents that happened in 2017 and 2018.
Maranan and Tagle paid a courtesy visit to the Mayor’s Office afterwards.
