Several responders from the Palawan Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO) underwent the Standard First Aid (SFAT) Training from April 11 to 14 at the PDRRMO Headquarters in Barangay Irawan, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.
During the 4-day training, participants were able to acquire additional knowledge and skills in bandaging, splinting, and different ways of carrying a patient.
Before the training concluded, an actual evaluation among the participants was held to assess them on what they have learned and how can they adapt it to any medical emergencies and emergency preparedness.
Mass Casualty Incident Drills were also held so that the trainees can apply their newly acquired knowledge as they simulated scenarios which required the use of Standard First Aid.
