The city of Puerto Princesa is celebrating Earth Day with a special two-day event prepared by SM Puerto Princesa in collaboration with the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (ENRO) starting today, April 21, until tomorrow, April 22.

With the theme “Invest in our Planet,” the event is expected to be attended by various local organizations, government representatives, and participants who are all committed to environmental conversation and sustainability.

One of the highlights of the event will be the various exhibits and interactive booths that will educate visitors about environmental conservation, such as proper waste segregation and recycling.

In addition, other activities such as t-shirt painting contests, tote bag painting contests, and spoken word poetry contests that promote environmental conservation are also aligned.

The event will also feature a green market, where visitors can purchase local organic products and support small-scale farmers and businesses.

As part of the celebration, a short program will also be held where officials, environmental representatives, and advocates are set to give speeches emphasizing the importance of Earth Day and the role of every individual in protecting the environment.
