Tala Day Care Center in Barangay Bacungan, Puerto Princesa has recently been re-painted and its students received school supplies and chairs.
This was made possible through the initiative of the officers and members of the United Architects of the Philippines – Graduate Auxiliary as part of its community service activities.
“Subrang nakakataba ng puso ang makita ang saya sa mga mata nila. May kalayuan ang lugar at kailangang sadyain dahil walang signal. Na late kami ng dalawang araw bago mag simula ang klase, dahil sa hindi magandang panahon, pero subrang sulit ang sakripisyo at pagpapagod para makahanap ng sponsors and donations dahil naappreciate nila ang pag punta naming,” said Joyce Collantes, UAPGA Chapter President.
Classroom teacher Edilina Factor was grateful for they were chosen as beneficiaries of the project.
“Maraming, maraming salamat maam, dahil kahit malayo kami, talagang sinadya nyo kami,” she said.
“Bilang chapter president subra akong nag papasalamat sa lahat ng members na nag bigay ng mga school supplies, and sa lahat ng sponsors, We Care Dental, A-26 Trading and Construction, Insula Emeraldas Corporation, RAQ Architects and Palawan Daily News,” Collantes said.
Collantes also explained that their organization chosen Tala Day Care Center in Barangay Bacungan, Puerto Princesa City because the day care center is way too primitive compared to the other Day Care Centers.
She added that the UAPGA’s project theme “Auxiliary in Action: Future leads the future”, “translates into learning knowledge and skills through experiencing from the actual setting.”
