One day, I was on a travel and found myself in a place where I am unfamiliar with. I did not use a map to plan ahead. It was very challenging and adventurous moment how I could navigate the place and not to lose my way.
I should have used a map – or rather a handy one – the Google Map! But I forgot to download an offline map and on top of that I don’t have an internet mobile connection, as well. I just have to scour the place, ask the locals and find the location where I should go and be there safely.
Most of the time we use map to find our way to the place we are not familiar with. However, we sometimes neglect the signs, the road signs, and take the wrong way. There are even times where, when we ask for directions, people would give us the wrong ones, and we ended up in a wrong direction.
In life, do we really use the map to navigate our way? What kind of map do we use? Is it the updated version or the old one?
In this journey of life, we save our precious time when we use the right and correct map in our life. Whatever kind of map we use, planning ahead in our life is important so as to be prepared in every circumstance that come along our way and for us not to lose our way.
Yes, there are a lot of times when we ask for help from strangers, to ask for the correct directions, we ended up in the wrong destination. Whether it was an honest mistake, we don’t know why we were told with the wrong ones. And that happens even with the people we know of, we sometimes are misdirected and found ourselves in a wrong place. In life, to whom should we ask for direction?
Whatever direction we are taking, whatever journey we are heading to, we should always remember that we should be equipped with a right planning and a right tool to help us navigate the treacherous road of life.
I often travel to a new place to enjoy the moment to relax and regain my strength from being busy in life. I just have to make sure that I use the correct map so as not to lose my way.
Losing my destination would take a toll to my journey. And that’s what I realize in life – I should be equipped with a right map and good journey plan so as not to waste my time in reaching my destination and my goal in life.
