For two days, members of the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) Area B will be gathering here in Puerto Princesa City starting today, February 15, 2019 at the Citystate Asturias Hotel and Honda Bay.

With the theme, “Dayon Camo,” a Cuyonon term for “Welcome,” the annual assembly of the UAP Area B is to foster unity, ability and continuity of service. The event is fully supported by the City Government of Puerto Princesa.

The following day, Arkilympics will be held in Honda Bay from 9 in the morning until 4:30 in the afternoon.

In a press statement from UAP Area B it states, “We would like to emphasize that everyone is welcome to help us obtain the main goal of UAP which is to let Architecture be known to the public. We hope to make our solid presence in Puerto Princesa felt in February. We would like also to show that the unity cannot be obtained by one person or one chapter only hence we are inviting all officers and members especially in Area B to take part and join us to keep this unity alive.”

The United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) Area B is home to the Filipino architects from the southern part of Luzon – from Manila down to CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, all the way to Bicol Region, extending to China, Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore, Guam and Canada, with a total of forty local and eight foreign chapters.
