Walang katotohanan na iba-ban sa bansa ang paggamit ng Facebook, ito ang nilinaw ni Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque.
Sa isang press conference sa Palasyo ng Malakanyang kanina, binanggit ng kalihim na nais aniya ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na magkaroon ng pag-uusap sa pagitan ng gobyerno at ng social media giant na Facebook kaugnay sa mga Facebook accounts na may kaugnayan sa Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) at Philippine National Police (PNP).
Nilinaw rin ni Roque, malaking kawalan sa Facebook kung mawawala ang mga users sa bansa dahil Pilipinas ang nangunguna sa buong mundo na maraming gumagamit nito at marami ring Pilipino ang maaapektuhan kapag nawala ang access sa Facebook.
“Kinakailangan mag-usap. Parehong hindi mabuti yan sa Facebook at Pilipinas. Number one po kasi sa buong mundo tayo sa Facebook. Kung mawawala tayo, malaking kawalan po yan sa Facebook. Pero at the same time dahil number one nga tayo, maraming Pilipino ang gumagamit ng Facebook na maaapektuhan. Ang sabi naman ni Presidente, pag-usapan yan,” ani Roque.
Malinaw naman umano ang nais ng pangulo sa pamunuan ng Facebook na gawing patas at huwag pagbawalan
ang malayang pamamahayag.
“Ang kongkretong aksyon po wag supilin ang kalayaan ng malayang pananalita ng mga personalidad o mga pages na pabor sa gobyerno. Kasi ang nangyayari po, kapag laban sa gobyerno, hindi po tinatanggal ng Facebook. Kapag suporta po gobyerno, tinatanggal po. Matagal na pong naninindigan ang presidente sa malayang pananalita. Bakit naman dito sa physical personification ng free market place of ideas e-cinecensor kapag kampi po sa gobyerno ang mga postings?” pahayag ni Roque.
