Presidential candidate Manny Pacman” Pacquiao conceded and asked Filipinos not to lose hope and wishes everyone to unite for the peace, prosperity and progress of the country.
In a video uploaded on his social media page yesterday, May 10, as he conceded to Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
“Bigyan naman natin ng pagkakataon ang pagkakaisa para sa kapayapaan at kaunlaran ng ating bansa. My decision to run was driven by my utmost desire to serve the country and uplift the lives of the poor Filipinos,” said Pacquiao.
“Bilang isang boxer at atleta, marunong akong tumanggap ng pagkatalo. Sana lang, kahit talo ako sa laban na ito [ay] panalo pa rin ang kapwa ko Pilipino. Huwag po kayong mawalan ng pag-asa dahil hinding hindi po tayo pababayaan ng ating Panginoon,” added the presidential candidate.
He then proceeded to promise that he will continue to service and help the poor through his charity foundation, the Manny Pacquiao Foundation.
“I will definitely continue my mission to help our people through the Many Pacquiao foundation. Hinding hindi ko tatalikuran ang pagseserbisyo para sa bayan at para sa mga kasama kong mahihirap. Patuloy po nating mahalin ang Pilipinas. Sama-sama po nating iangat ang dangal ng bawat Pilipino,” said Pacquiao.
The defeated presidential candidate also extended his wishes to his opponent and presidential frontrunner and former Senator Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
“Sa ating susunod na pangulo, Bongbong Marcos, ako’y nananalangin para sa tagumpay ng iyong administrasyon na maraming mga mahihirap ang maiangat ang buhay at matulungan,” further added Pacquiao.
