Paliparan ng Zamboanga International Airport, Naantala matapos na may makitang nakasulat na ‘ May Bomba’ sa loob ng isang Eroplano

Naantala ang operasyon ng paliparan ng Zamboanga International Airport (ZIA) nito lang Sabado, Hunyo 14, bandang 8:20 ng umaga, matapos na may makitang isang sulat ng “may bomba’’ sa tissue sa loob ng lavatory ng isang pampasaherong eroplano.

Ayon sa report ng Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), nakita umano ng isang flight attendant ang sulat habang ito’y nagsasagawa ng ‘’routine inspection’’ matapos na makababa ang lahat ng pasahero ng Cebu Pacific flight 5J851. Agad naman itong inalerto ng crew sa ground security personnel na siya namang nag-report sa Aviation Security Unit (AVSEUCU9) at agarang ipinatupad ang security protocols.

Dagdag pa ng CAAP, sa isinagawang malalimang inspeksyon ng Aviation Security Unit ay wala umanong nakitang indikasyon na may bomba o anumang uri ng pampasabog sa loob ng eroplano. Bilang karagdagang pag-iingat ay nagsagawa naman ng inspeksyon ang naturang unit sa Terminal building ng paliparan at sinigurong ligtas ang mga pasahero. Pasado 8:59 am naman nang ideklarang under control ang sitwasyon at maayos na naibalik sa normal na operasyon ang paliparan.

Ayon pa sa CAAP, ang naturang insidente at itinuturing nilang bilang seryusong banta sa kaligtasan ng mga crew, pasahero, at ng paliparan. Mariing pinaalalahanan naman ng ahensya ang publiko na ang pagbabanta sa pamamagitan ng isang sulat, o ano mang paraan ay paglabag sa Presidential Decree No. 1727 na may parusang 5 taong kulong at hindi bababa sa multang P40,000.
