The municipality of Rizal, Palawan inaugurated on Wednesday, February 3, the Rizal Waterworks Office through the help of the Palawan Provincial Government.
The ceremony was attended by Rizal mayor Otol Odi along with Board Members Ferdinand “Inan” Zaballa and Ryan Maminta who were representatives of the Palawan Provincial Government.
The P4.8 million facility is expected to cater thousands of Rizal residents in Barangay Punta-Baja and its neighboring barangays who some are still dwelling on man-made wells.
The new office will also serve as the main proponent for all waterworks projects for the town and will also serve as the Municipal Economic Enterprise Development Office (MEEDO) of the municipality.
The new building was designed by Palawan Provincial Government’s Engineering Office and was funded through the province-wide Water Infrastructure Development Program who also recently opened water system in Barangay Mangsee in Balabac and in Roxas, Palawan, which helps thousands of far-flunged residents in various towns in Palawan.
