Palawan Daily News and Petrosphere Inc. recently participated in Pista Y’ Ang Cagueban on June 28, held at Barangay Montible, Puerto Princesa City.
This annual tree-planting activity is dedicated to environmental conservation and sustainable practices, bringing residents together to plant thousands of native tree seedlings to help protect nature for future generations.
The two companies emphasized the importance of preserving Puerto Princesa’s natural beauty and resources.
According to Engr. Carmela Joice N. Padilla, Operations Head of Petrosphere, both PDN and Petrosphere have actively participated in this event every year as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives and the company’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) program.
“Every time na may Cagueban naga-attend ang Petrosphere as part of our CSR activity and all our heads are environmentally starving, so we’re really promoting it and it’s also part of our HSE, and not just in health and safety but also focusing on environment,” said by Engr. Padilla. Moreover, this initiative goes beyond corporate responsibility; it’s a collective step towards a greener and cleaner Puerto Princesa City.
