To foster robust collaboration with Local Government Units (LGUs) and to effectively communicate the strides made, the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) Regional Program Management Office (RPMO) successfully organized a two-day Local Chief Executive (LCE) Forum. The event unfolded on August 29-30, 2023, against the picturesque backdrop of Citystate Asturias Hotel in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.

This symposium saw the convergence of City and Municipal Mayors, Executive Assistants, Administrative Officers, as well as Municipal and City Social Welfare Development Officers and their staff hailing from different corners of Palawan.

The opening message on behalf of Hon. Victorino Dennis M. Socrates, the Provincial Governor of Palawan, was eloquently conveyed by Mr. Albert G. Rama, the astute Executive Assistant of the Provincial Governor’s Office.

“All endeavors and developments perpetually hinge on cohesive partnerships between governing entities and communities. Through 4Ps, the vital path to nurturing societal well-being and empowering individuals is consistently forged. As we ascertain, 4Ps invariably bridges the societal gap, unraveling marginalized sectors and empowering lives. In MIMAROPA, Palawan magnificently represents this ethos—spearheading the noblest embrace of 4Ps principles,” Rama said.

This assembly not only facilitated discourse but delineated crucial areas warranting continued allocation of resources and attention for the enhancement of programs catering to the needs of 4Ps beneficiaries across the province, especially those who have successfully transitioned beyond the program.

Significantly, the event also served as a platform to acknowledge, commend, and share best practices of LGUs that have ardently upheld and championed the program’s execution.

Rommel L. Dela Torre, the Municipal Mayor of Magsaysay, meanwhile, said, “In my end, signifying full acknowledgment, alluding that 4Ps assumes substantial pivotal role, not solely augmenting individual lives but entire familial fabric. As it unveils, 4Ps earnestly cradles the vulnerable facets of society, imbuing them with renewed vitality. Down the line, it endeavors to comprehensively fortify lives—transforming them beyond recognition. Indeed, LGUs stand indomitably as the vanguards of these transformative undertakings.”

Through dynamic dialogues and exchange of invaluable experiences, 4Ps aspires to optimize its support, ensuring that no individual or family is left behind.
