An orientation on Women Protection Laws (RA 11862 and RA 9262) was conducted for community leaders and stakeholders in Barangay Buliluyan, Bataraza on December 11.

This initiative, led by Governor V. Dennis M. Socrates as Chairman of PIACAT-VAWC-OSAEC-CSAEM, is part of the ongoing 18-Day Campaign on Violence Against Women.

The event was attended by key figures including PSWD Officer Abigail D. Ablaña, Assistant Provincial Legal Officer Atty. Mary Joy Ordaneza-Cascara, Atty. Christine N. Aribon, Provincial Tourism Officer Maribel C. Buñi, and representatives from various agencies.

The orientation aimed to raise awareness and support the fight against human trafficking, aligning with the broader mission of PIACAT.

Simultaneously, the installation of Anti-Trafficking in Persons IEC signages/materials took place, further spreading information to combat human trafficking within the province.
