Community service, ipapataw na bukas laban sa mga lumabag sa Liquor Ban at GCQ protocols sa Araceli

Ipapataw na bukas ang kaparusahang Community service sa mga lumabag sa umiiral na Liquor Ban at iba pang GCQ protocols sa Bayan ng Araceli. Ayon kay Araceli Mayor Sue Cudilla, nasa 48 katao ang lumabag sa Liquor Banat GCQ protocol gaya ng social distancing na nakatakdang magsagawa bukas ng coastal clean-up, alinsunod sa kautusan ng local Inter-Agency Task Force. “So far, sa listahan po namin, ay 48 sila [na mga lumabag]. Pwede pang madagdagan ‘yon. Tomorrow na po ang coastal clean-up nila,” ani Mayor Cudilla sa pamamagitan ng text message.

Napag-alaman pang ilan sa mga violators ay mga kawani ng lokal na pamahalaan habang ang karamihan ay mga sibilyan. Sa mga government employees, karamihan umano sa kanila ay mga regular at casual. “Iilan lang po doon ang employee’s ng LGU; the rest ay civilians po,” dagdag pa ng Alkalde.

Dahil sa banta ng COVID-19 at mga ipinatutupad na batas kaugnay dito, matatandaang umani ng batikos mula sa mga netizen ang pagtitipon-tipon ng naturang mga indibidwal mula sa Munisipyo ng Araceli matapos na i-post din umano ng ilang dumalo sa kanilang mga social media account. Bagamat ang sagot ng mga nag-post na iyon ay “Late upload” ngunit hindi umano ito pinaniniwalaan ng nakararami dahil bumabati sila ng “Happy Mother’s Day,” isang aktibidad na ang petsa ay pasok pa sa General Community Quarantine (GCQ).

Sa kabilang dako, naging mahigpit ang tagubilin ng Punong Bayan sa nabanggit na mga indibidwal na iobserba pa rin ang physical distancing, at magsuot din ng mask at glove habang nagsasagawa ng coastal clean-up. “Depende po kung maaga nilang matatapos [ang coastal clean-up]. Do’n po sila sa gilid ng pier maglilinis,” ani Mayor Cudilla nang tanungin kung buong araw ba maglilinis ang mga violators at saang partikular na lugar sila sa Bayan ng Araceli magsasagawa ng paglilinis sa baybayin.
