Cuyo, may 4 na bagong COVID-19 cases

Matapos mai-deklara na COVID-Free ang bayan ng Cuyo ay muli nanaman itong nakapagtala ng apat na panibagong kaso ng COVID-19 ngayong araw, July 24.

Ayon kay Mayor Mark Delos Reyes, ang apat ay pawang mga Locally Stranded Individuals o LSIs kung saan ang tatlo ay dumating noong July 21 habang ang isa naman ay nauna nang nakauwi at ire-release n asana matapos ang mandatory quarantine period subalit naging reactive sa Rapid Diagnostic Test.

“Kararating lang din po sa amin ng email mula sa Puerto Princesa na nadagdagan nanaman po kami ng apat na COVID case positive. ‘Yung tatlo po, ‘yan po ‘yong nag-reactive nung dumating dito nung July 21 from Manila na sakay po ng Blessed Journey at ‘yong isa naman ay galing ng Manila via Puerto na sumakay ng Montenegro at dumating sa Cuyo nung July 14,” ani Mayor Delos Reyes.

Sa kabila nito, wala naman anyang dapat ikabahala ang kanyang mga kababayan dahil sa maingat naman anya ang lokal na pamahalaan sa pag-aasikaso sa mga umuuwi nilang kababayan upang maiwasan ang local transmission.

Samantala, wala pa namang ibang detalye na maibigay si Delos Reyes kaugnay sa kasarian at edad ng mga nagpositibo sa COVID-19 sa kanilang bayan na ngayon ay naka-isolate na sa kanilang quarantine facility.
