Members of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Community Environment and Natural Resources (CENRO) Taytay were able to rescue 10 live pangolins from an alleged poacher in Taytay, Palawan last October 19, 2018 at 4 in the afternoon.
Identified as Danilo Demular, a resident of Purok Masagana, Barangay Liminangcong, Taytay, he was immediately arrested and brought to the Office of the Provincial Prosecutor after he was in possession of the said critically endangered species without a permit, which is a clear violation of RA 9147 or the Wildlife Act.
All the 10 pangolins were released back to their natural habitats by the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development Staff. (PCSD PR)
