A total of 2,457 student beneficiaries of the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) Educational Assistance Program in Quezon, Palawan, were the focus of attention from October 9th to the 13th as the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) conducted an Assessment and Payout.
These students had the opportunity to benefit from the program, with an equivalent value of over P1.7 million.
The initiative was spearheaded by Ms. Mae Ann F. Dela Cruz, with the invaluable support of the District Action Office team led by Ms. Sharlyn S. Bullos, and in cooperation with the staff of Congressman Jose Ch. Alvarez.
The office of Congressman Jose Chaves Alvarez continues to forge partnerships with National Agencies to secure additional funding, thus broadening the reach of programs like this.
The AICS program, designed to provide essential support to those still grappling with the effects of the recent pandemic, is committed to prioritizing individuals in rural areas, with a particular emphasis on students hailing from Indigenous Peoples (IP) communities.
Cong. JCA, on the other hand, extends his heartfelt thanks to the Quezon Municipal Government, under the leadership of Mayor Joy Ayala and Vice Mayor Edwin “Tabong” Caabay, for their cooperation and support throughout the successful implementation of this endeavor.
