Kamalayan ukol sa produktong ‘halal’, itinataguyod ng DA sa Palawan

(Larawan mula sa Department of Agriculture (DA) - Mimaropa) 'Information Caravan' patungkol sa Halal Industry na isinagawa ng sa pangunguna ng Department of Agriculture (DA) sa Puerto Princesa. Ito ay dinaluhan ng mga may-ari ng hotel at restaurant sa lungsod. (DA/MIMAROPA)

Pinalalakas ng Department of Agriculture (DA) ang pagpapalawak ng kaalaman patungkol sa industriya ng ‘halal’ sa lalawigan ng Palawan at lungsod ng Puerto Princesa.

Bunsod nito, nagsagawa kamakailan ng ‘information caravan’ ang DA sa mga may-ari ng restoran at mga establisyementong panturismo upang talakayin ang kahalagahan ng industriya at ang mga hatid nitong oportunidad sa pandaigdigang merkado.

Itinuro rin sa mga namumuhunan sa lungsod at lalawigan ang mga pamantayan at pamamaraan ng sertipikasyon ng halal.

Layon ng gawain na magtatag at palakasin ang mga ugnayan ukol sa halal patungo sa mga stakeholder.

Ayon kay Helen Aceret, hepe ng Halal Regulatory Division ng DA, napili ang Palawan para sa pagpapa-angat ng kamalayan ukol sa halal sapagkat ito ay miyembro ng Darrussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines – East Asian Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA).

Sentro rin ito ng kalakalan at patuloy ang pagdagsa ng mga turista dayuhan man o lokal.

Unang tinungo ng mga grupong tagapagtaguyod ng industriya ng halal ang Puerto Princesa, sinundan ito ng parehong gawain sa bayan ng San Vicente, na isa ngayon sa mga lugar sa lalawigan na dinarayo ng mga turista.

Nilinaw din ni Aceret na ang DA ang siyang nangangasiwa sa mga dokumento na kinakailangang makumpleto ng isang namumuhunan sa industriya bago mabigyan ng sertipikasyon mula sa ikatlong Partido katulad ng Halal International Chamber of Commerce and Industries of the Philippines, Incorporated (HICCIP).
