As the vaccine rollout continues in the Province of Palawan, the Provincial Government through the Provincial Health Office (PHO) has inoculated at least 7,600 medical frontliners in the province. This means that 80% of people under the A1 category have received either SinoVac or AstraZeneca vaccine.

“Majority sa ating A1 category ay nabigyan na ng second dose, so nasa more than 80% from the 9,500 medical fromtliners.

The Provincial Health Officer added that response from A2 (Senior Citizens) and A3 (Persons with Comorbidities) categories have been positive. Most of them showed intention and interest to be inoculated based on their response to surveys and initial registration conducted by the PHO.

– Labrador stressed.

PHO also reported that they have not recorded serious side effects from the recipients of the vaccines.

“With the completion ng kanilang doses, so far mas maganda ang response ng ating mga frontliners. Labrador said.

As of press time, the provincial government is in full swing to transfer vaccines from the central cold chain storage facility down to the municipalities as part of the rollout program of the national government for individuals under A1 and A2 categories who have not yet received the vaccine against COVID-19.
