Palawan to IATF-EID: Ipa-swab test muna ang LSIs, ROFs at APORs bago pauwiin

Umapela na ang Pamahalaang Panlalawigan sa National Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases na kung maari ay isailalim na muna sa swab testing ang mga Locally Stranded Individuals o LSIs bago pahintulutang makauwi sa lalawigan ng Palawan.

Sa isinagawang online press briefing ng Provincial Information Office, sinabi ni Provincial Health Officer, Dr. Mary Ann Navarro na nagpadala na sila ng sulat sa IATF-EID at inaasahang mapagbibigyan ang kanilang kahilingan.

“Nag-letter nga po kami sa National IATF about that kasi nga po, naririnig narin sa TV, naririnig din sa radyo na in-announce ni Secretary Roque at ni Secretary Duque pero wala pang papel na na-sign about that. ‘Yong 2GO nga po nung nakaraan, ayaw nang magpapunta dito kung walang swab test kasi nga, narinig nga at nakita daw nila sa TV na in-announce. Pero nung may nag-protesta na nasaan ang papel n’yo, asana ng ganyan n’yo, wala silang mai-present kasi wala pa pong nilalabas,” ani Dr. Navarro.

Sinabi pa ni Navarro na umaasa silang mapagbibigyan ang kahilingang ito dahil sa hindi anya kaya ng mga pasilidad sa lalawigan na i-test ang lahat ng parating na LSIs, ROFs at APORs dahil ang prayoridad nila sa ngayon ay ang mga probable at suspected cases lamang.

“Ang mga asymptomatic at walang history ng close contact ay hindi natin mapa-prioritize kaya mas maganda na sa point of origin pa lang kung saan sila nanggaling ay i-testing na sila,” paliwanag ng opisyal.

“Sana marinig din naman agad ang apela natin kasi kawawa naman tayo. Napaka-konti ng mga health facilities natin, kung ma-overwhelm tayo ng biglang dami at magkaroon ng local transmission, kawawa tayo. So dapat, ma-test muna sila at the point of origin bago pumunta dito,” sabi pa ni Navarro.

Inihalimbawa nito ang ibang lalawigan na matapos sumulat ang kanilang lokal na pamahalaan ay napagbigyan kaya ganito rin sana ang gawin at mangyari para sa Palawan lalo pa’t napag-alaman na may ibang mga barangay officials ang nag-iisyu ng certification kahit wala naman talagang ginawang maayos na monitoring sa quarantine period ng isang indibidwal.
