Matagumpay na inilunsad ang Paleng-QR Ph sa Puerto Princesa noong Hulyo 16, na ginanap sa Edward S. Hagedorn Coliseum na kauna-unahang nailunsad sa rehiyon ng MIMAROPA. Ang programa ay naglalayon na magbigay-daan sa modernisasyon at pagpapalago ng ekonomiya sa turismo at agrikultura.

Nagsimula ang programa sa isang world-class performance ng Banwa Dance and Arts, sinundan ng pambungad na mensahe ni Thess Vicente-Rodriguez. Ipinaliwanag ni BSP Deputy Governor Bernatte Romulo-Puyat ang kahalagahan ng QR technology at cashless system sa kalinisan, kaligtasan, at kaginhawahan.

Nagbigay din ng mensahe ng suporta sina DILG Regional Director Virgilio Tagle, DICT MIMAROPA Regional Director Emmy Lou Versoza-Delfin, at BSP Governor Dr. Eli Remolona, Jr. Binigyang-diin nila ang kahalagahan ng pagtutulungan para sa pagpapalawak ng benepisyo ng teknolohiya sa ekonomiya.

Sa talumpati ni Mayor Lucilo R. Bayron, binigyang-diin niya ang papel ng programa sa pagpapalago ng ekonomiya at pagpapagaan ng pamumuhay ng mga mamamayan, lalo na sa sektor ng transportasyon, agrikultura, at turismo.

Sa inisyatibong ito, hindi lamang natin ini-enhance o pinapabuti ang paraan ng pangangalakal kundi sinisiguro rin ang bawat magtitinda, bawat mamimili, bawat residente at mga bisita ng lungsod ng Puerto Princesa ay makinabang sa mga benepisyo ng isang cashless at mas efficient na market place.” Bahagi ng mensahe ng alkalde.

Ang paglulunsad ay dinaluhan ng mga manininda, TODA drivers/operators, at maliliit na negosyante, kasama ang suporta mula sa mga financial service providers at mga bangko.
