‘Presidential Debate System’ gagamiting paraan sa diskusyon ng ‘Yes’ at ‘No’ sa paghahati ng Palawan

Binanggit ng Legal Network for Truthful Elections (LENTE) ang magiging representante ng Yes at No sa paghahati ng Palawan sa tatlong probinsya sa gagawing debate ngayong araw, Marso 5 mga bandang alas 7:00 ng gabi.

“Mamayang gabi po ang magrerepresinta para sa 3in1 o yung sa ‘Yes’ ay mula sa Provicial Information Office si Winston Arzaga at ang magrerepresenta para sa ‘No’ ay yung sa Save Palawan Movement si Atty. Gerthie Anda, yun po ay ala 7:00 ng gabi,” Atty. Rona Ann V. Caritos, Executive Director, LENTE

Dagdag pa ni Atty. Caritos, susundin patakaran sa isasagawang diskusyon ay ang ‘Presidential Debate System’ na siya ring sinusunod sa bansang America kapag nagsasagawa ng debate lalo na sa pagkapangulo.

“Ang format po natin mamayang gabi ay Presidential Debate System at mayroon po kaming issues na ina-identify sa bawat isyu po ay may 10 minutes na allotted, so 3 minutes po magsasalita si proponent next 3 minutes si opponent tapos 4 minutes po ay question na ibabato ng isa sa kabila and vice versa, so 5 topic po ang pag-uusapan mamayang ala 7:00 ng gabi.”

Ayon naman kay Cathy Garcia mula sa bayan ng Roxas, makakatulong ang debate sa kanya at maging sa iba pang botante sa Palawan para malaman kung ano ang dapat iboto sa araw ng plebisito na gaganapin sa Marso 13.

“Malaking bagay yung debate sa pagitan ng Yes at No para makapagdesisyon kami kung tama ba yung iboboto namin. Ito ba ay talagang makapagpapalakas pa ng ekonomiya at makapagdadagdag ng trabaho at hindi na maghihirap mga taga Palawan, lalo na ngayon na may kinakaharap tayo na COVID-19 pandemic.”

Samantala magtatagal ang programa ng 1 ½ oras at live na mapapanood sa Facebook at Youtube na kung saan limang (5) isyu ang pag-uusap na kinabibilangan ng mga sumusunod: General Agenda; Environmental issues; Economic impact; Governance and delivery of basic services; at Effect to the General Welfare of the Palaweños.
