The Sangguniang Panlalawigan urged the Provincial Health Office (PHO) to study the immediate implementation of RT-PCR testing of COVID-19 swab samples at Culion Sanitarium and General Hospital (CSGH) specifically for municipalities in the northern part of the province.

This is in accordance of approved Resolution No. 212-21 entitled “Urging the immediate facilitation of RT-PCR testing of COVID-19 swab samples to the Culion Sanitarium and General Hospital (CSGH) especially for Northern municipalities in order to decongest the COVID-19 laboratory of Ospital ng Palawan ( ONP) thereby expediting the testing, determination and treatment of affected individuals” authored by Board Member David Francis P. Ponce de Leon.

According to Ponce de Leon, the goal is to reduce the backlogs of the Ospital ng Palawan when it comes to testing swab samples and to expedite the release of results for municipalities in the northern part of the province.

“Mr.
