Returning OFW sa Brooke’s Point, naging reactive sa rapid test

Kinumpirma ni Brookes Point Mayor Mary Jean Feliciano na isa sa kanilang kababayan na isang Returning Overseas Filipino ang naging reactive o nagpositibo sa Rapid Diagnostic Test.

Sa panayam ng programang “Chris ng Bayan” sa Online Radio ng Palawan Daily, sinabi ng alkalde na natanggap n’ya ang balita kagabi, June 7 at sinasabing kailangang sumailalim sa confirmatory test ng isa nilang kababayan dahil sa pagiging reactive nito sa RDT.

“Kagabi nga ay may nabanggit sa akin na may isang nag-positive sa RDT pero ‘yun ay isa-subject parin sa swab testing at doon natin malalaman kung talagang positibo. Pero ‘yun po sa ngayon ay nandyan pa po sa Puerto Princesa,” ani Mayor Feliciano sa panayam ng Palawan Daily.

Dahil dito, ipagpapatuloy pa anya nila ang paghihigpit at pagsunod sa ipinatutupad na health protocols sa pag-iwas at paglaban sa COVID-19 upang mapanatiling COVID-Free ang kanilang bayan.

“Ang pagkakaalam ko po ay OFW at walang dapat ikabahala pero kailangan parin naming mag-ingat. Hindi parin talaga pwedeng… dahil wala pang positive ay dating gawi na. Ang kailangan ay ilang buwan na itong ating pagdi-disiplina sa sarili at talagang mag-control sa movement ng mga tao… Mas dapat maghigpit pa dahil marami pa po ang paparating galing sa mga lugar na may positibo,” dagdag ng alkalde ng Brookes Point.

Samantala, sinabi rin ni Mayor Feliciano na lahat naman ng dumating at nakauwi na sa kanilang bayan ay puro negative sa RDT kung saan sa kabuoan ay may tatlong batch narin ng locally stranded individuals at Returning Overseas Filipinos ang nakauwi sa Brookes Point na kasalukuyang nananatili sa kanilang quarantine facility.
