ROXAS – Thousands of barangay residents from Iraan and Dumarao in this town are now benefiting from the abundant supply of water project of the Palawan Provincial Government.
Two water system projects have started to operate following the groundbreaking ceremony spearheaded by Palawan Vice-Governor Dennis M. Socrates and First District Board Member Leoncio “Onsoy” Ola on Thursday, February 3.
In a press release published by Palawan Provincial Information Office (PIO) they said that both projects are part of the coordinated efforts of the Palawan Provincial Government and Roxas Local Government Unit (LGU).
“Ang proyektong tubig na ito ay magkatuwang na itinaguyod ng Pamahalaang Lokal ng Roxas at Pamahalaang Panlalawigan. Matagal ng pangarap ng mga residente na magkaroon ng malinis na inuming tubig sa naturang lugar,” the press release stated.
Meanwhile, also present during the inauguration ceremony were First District Congressman Franz Josef Alvarez and Roxas Mayor Dennis Sabando.
Furthermore, on Friday, February 4, Socrates and Palawan Governor Jose Chavez Alvarez also spearheaded the groundbreaking ceremony of Minara Water System in the same town.
Over all, three new water facility projects are now operating in the said northern town.
Just last week, Rizal also opened its new P4.8 million Waterworks Office through the help of Rizal LGU and the Palawan Provincial Government.
The Provincial Government vows its continuous efforts on investing on water system projects in all Palawan towns in line with its mission to provide a clean water for every Palaweño.
